WPPL OFFERING CAREER ONLINE HIGH SCHOOL

Career Online High SchoolWe recently partnered with the State of Florida to offer Career Online High School to residents of Winter Park, 19 years of age and up, who have a full-service library card, and wish to earn their High School diploma and career certificate. A limited number of scholarships, five total, will be available to qualified students.

The 4-step application process includes: 

  • Step 1- Self Assessment- to determine if this online high school program meets your educational/career goals
  • Step 2- Prerequisite Course- if basic requirements are met, pre-req course scheduled
  • Step 3- The Interview- once steps 1 & 2 are completed, an interview is scheduled
  • Step 4- The Scholarship- library will contact students about scholarship awards, coursework begins

Scholarships awarded begin Fall 2019; the application and program information are available now. Core classes consist of Math, English, Social Studies and Science. In addition to a high school diploma, graduates will earn a career certificate in one of the following fields - Certified Protection Officer, Certified Transportation Services, Child Care & Education, Food and Customer Service Skills, General Career Preparation, Homeland Security, Office Management, Retail Customer Service Skills.
