This week's Why Not Wednesday, June 14:  Animal Supply Drive
Build a better world by helping an animal in need when donating needed supplies to the Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando. Donations will be collected at the adult reference desk this week. Specifically requested items include:

  • Litter boxes and litter (non-clumping). Roughly 150 lbs of litter are used daily in our shelter.
  • blankets
  • bath towels
  • Canned puppy food or canned kitten food
  • Science diet dog or cat food
  • 10-12 lb. bags of cat or dog food Roughly 800 lbs of food are used per month for Pet Food Pantry. That's about 28 lbs of food per day! 
  • Cat toys
  • KONGs
  • Paper Towels
  • Grooming supplies such as clippers, nail trimmers, shampoo
  • Dasuquin and Cosequin for older pets
  • Stanless steel food bowls
  • Puppy pads
  • Laundry detergent (liquid) An average of 30 loads of laundry are washed and dried every day between our clinics and shelters
  • Dog and cat treets 5 lbs of dog treats are used daily in the shelter alone. More are used for training and enrichment programs.
