Park Avenue Merchants Association Endorses Library & Events Center

Winter Park, Fla. (March 7, 2016)
– The Board of Directors of the Park Avenue Merchants Association (PAMA), a committee of the Winter Park Chamber of Commerce, recently voted to support the new library and events center. After considering the need for additional services, technological upgrades and flexible event and meeting space, the association determined it was in the best interest of the community to support the project.

“The Park Avenue Merchants Association is proud to support the new library and events center,” said Sarah Grafton, president of the Park Avenue Merchants Association Board of Directors. “We believe our local merchants and restaurants will benefit from the weddings, galas and meetings held at the new event facility and our business owners will have access to technology, programming and information in a new library that will help them support and grow their businesses.”

The PAMA acknowledges the departure of the library from its current location would expand the footprint of the downtown core. “While it will not be located around the corner from many of our member businesses, the few extra blocks will be worth the investment in new community assets,” added Grafton.

The Park Avenue Merchants Association, a committee of the Winter Park Chamber of Commerce, is committed to the betterment of the Central Business District, including Hannibal Square and the surrounding area. Its mission is to ensure positive growth and development by promoting the Park Avenue area to residents and tourists alike. The PAMA represents a cross-section of 125 retail and non-retail members.

The Winter Park Chamber of Commerce represents more than 800 businesses, community organizations and individuals in an effort to develop, promote and sustain a vital, thriving business climate throughout the community and to initiate, support and enhance the civic, educational and economic well-being of the area.  For more information visit
