Judge Validates Bonds and MLK Park for New Library

Great news!

As you may have heard by now, the Winter Park Public Library and the City of Winter Park received some very good news last week. The Board and Staff of the Winter Park Public Library are pleased that Judge Schreiber’s final judgment validates the City’s authority to issue the bonds and to build the new library, event center and parking at the Martin Luther King, Jr.

Park location. This judgement will allow the project to move forward, and we look forward to working with our partners at the City of Winter Park to build the 21st century library and events center our community voted for last March.

“Judge Schreiber’s ruling confirms the city’s position that the project has already gone to vote and the matter has been decided by the voters to build the project at MLK Park,” explained City Manager Randy Knight.
