Fumbling with fractions? Dying over decimals? Algebra anxiety? Please, let us help.
For many kids, even the strongest of readers, getting their heads around math can be a real challenge. But a firm understand of math can help them delve deeper into the world of science and foster a greater understanding of the world around us – not to mention the benefits of passing their classes.
To assist young patrons in grades four through eight, we are launching “Problems Solved,” a partnership with math students from Orlando Science School to provide free math tutoring. Patrons can sign-up for 45-minute, one-on-one tutoring sessions October 5, 12, 19 and November 2, 9 and 16. Times begin at 3:30 p.m. and the last session starts at 5:45 p.m. Reservations are required and can be made via our online calendar.
We are excited to launch this new way to support education in our community and are grateful to Paul and Wade Twyford, who helped forge this new partnership.
