"For as long as I have been consciously aware of it, I've encountered Black women who could complete my sentences. We know the same anecdotes and adages, and often cite the same source(s) of origin for these "knowings": my mother, my grandmother, my aunt...the list continues. I wanted to find out how we do this." In this gathering, Dr. Edwards will share readings from her book and engage in dialogue with the group. Copies of the book are available for purchase at Hannibal Square Heritage Center.
