Ergood's Store and Hall

Photo of Ergood's Store and Hall.

John R. Ergood was one of Winter Park's first merchants.   Ergood's store was the third building in Winter Park and stood at the corner of North Park Avenue and Boulevard (later named Morse Boulevard).   The store also served as Town Hall, the first school classes were held there and when Mr. Ergood was named postmaster in 1887, the rear of the building housed the Winter Park Post Office.
