Winter Park Topics is a publication that is tabloid-style in physical design. It describes all of the events that took place in town, including visits from notables with names such as Mme. Tolstoy, Dali, Skinner, Roosevelt . . . assorted lords and countesses . . . and performances by world renowned opera sensations and symphonies alike . . . as well as events at local clubs, societies, and festivals.
These papers are in PDF format. PDF stands for portable document format. PDF preserves the original look of the document almost exactly: fonts, photos, graphics and layout all appear as they do in the original.
After selecting a particular edition of the paper, you will have the ability to:
Zoom in: Simply click on the sign at the top of the page. This will provide a closer look at the newspaper and make reading much easier.
Search: You can search the text for specific terms. Simply click on the binoculars icon on the toolbar. This will open up a search box on the right of the screen. If your term is found within the text, it will be highlighted in black within the text of the paper. The search area will also display how many times the term appears in the paper and a list of results will be provided that you can select to investigate further.
