When you register for the Teen Summer Reading Program, you will receive a log to track your reading. Bring the log in once a week to enter our Monday afternoon raffle for cool prizes. Then
return your reading log between July 22 and August 5 to get 5 entries into the grand prize drawing for the iPod and $250 personal library gift card.  The drawing will be held August 9.

¨ All programs listed below are free.

¨ Registration is required for all programs except Video Game Nights or Movie Nights.

¨  For each program you attend, you will have another entry in the drawing for the iPod and $250 personal library gift card. That means you could have more than 20 chances to win!

 

    Video Game Nights
Tuesdays in June and July, 6—8 p.m.
Community Room

      Make the Library your place to be on Tuesday nights in June and July. There will be lots of Wii, PS3 and XBOX 360 games to choose from, or you can bring your own (no rated-M games, please!). Snacks and drinks will be served.

      No registration required. No game nights on June 23 & July 7.

 Teen Movie Nights
Thursdays in June and July, 6 p.m.
Storytime Room

You vote on the movie, we’ll provide the snacks and drinks. A list of movies to choose from will be available each week at the children's circulation desk.

No registration required. There will be no Teen Movie Night on July 30.

 

 Gocks!
Wednesday, July 1,  23 p.m.
Community Room

Goth sock puppets. Make puppets with attitude.

 

Registration begins Monday, June 22

 
Teen Film Festival

Wednesday, July 8, 2 p.m.
Community Room

Create your own short films. Deadline for submission is July 1. We’ll screen submissions at the festival and vote on our favorites. For complete details on how to enter your film, click here.

Registration to attend festival begins Monday, June 29.

 

Harry Potter Party
Wednesday, July 15, 2—4 p.m.
Community Room

Join the party to celebrate the new Harry Potter movie. Free movie passes will be awarded to the winners of the costume and trivia contests. Other door prizes will also be given away. Hogwarts snacks and drinks will be served.

Registration begins Monday, July 6.

 

 Yoga & Smoothies
Wednesday, July 22, 2—4 p.m.
Community Room

Yoga is great for health and relaxation. Come learn some basic moves and poses. Then cool off with a refreshing smoothie created by you!

Registration begins Monday, July 13.

 

 Pizza Taste-Off Party
Wednesday, July 29, 3—4 p.m.
Community Room

Will Pizza Hut reclaim the title? Will Pizzeria Valdiano triumph two years in a row? Or will a new pie reign supreme? Help decide Best Sauce, Best Cheese, Best Crust and Winter Park’s Best Pizza Overall.

Registration begins Monday, July 20.

 

Teen Book Club
3rd Monday of the month, 7-8 p.m.
Conference Room

Come read, eat and discuss books with other teen readers. We meet the third Monday of each month  to discuss a new book. This book club is open to grades 8-12.
