Did you know that the Winter Park Public Library is a
nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that must raise almost half of its budget each year?
The Library supports itself
through an Annual Fund Drive, special fundraising events,
earnings from endowments, the
New Leaf
Bookstore located on the first floor of the Library and funds generated
through fines, copy machines and other Library operations.
Annual Fund
Money raised through the Annual Fund Drive goes toward general Library
operations. It pays for everything from books, puppets and music for the
children, to paying the Library’s electric bill. All contributions to
the Annual Fund are tax-deductible. The goal of the 2007 Annual Fund is
$210,000.
Last year, for the first time, we not only met, but exceeded our
Annual Fund goal because of the wonderful support of our community.
This year’s aggressive goal will only be reached by your support.
We ask all users of the Library's resources to consider making a financial contribution that will make it
possible for us to continue providing excellent materials and services.
