Paws to Read ~ Age 5+ who are reading
Held in the second floor Storytime Room (unless otherwise noted)

Children are invited to practice their reading by reading to a furry friend. Children may choose the book they would like to read and each child gets alone time with the dog and owner who have specialized training in pet therapy. Dogs are excellent non-judgmental listeners and help to provide a relaxed and comfortable reading experience. This is a fun way to encourage and motivate your child to read and improve their reading skills. No registration required.
Kids may earn a "Paw" for each time they attend a "Paws to Read" program and read to a furry friend.

                   3 paws = 1 free book
                   6 paws = 1 free book
9 paws = t-shirt and Certificate of Achievement, both have your photo on it!
