This new system, called HIP, is a powerful Internet-based catalog that allows you to browse all of the Library's holdings, databases, and materials that are on order. It also allows you to search by media type, allowing you to limit your searches to videos, CDs, cassettes, etc. When there is a Web address for www.netlibrary.com instead of a call number, this indicates that the item is actually an online resources known as an eBook. Over 30,000 eBook titles are available through the netLibrary site. You will first need to access this site from Library terminals to create an account. Once you have created an account, you can access and search eBooks from your home computers by visiting www.netLibrary.com . For questions about signing up for an eBook account or using eBooks, contact our Reference Desk at (407) 623-3300, ext. 3. WPPL card holders can also use the online catalog to manage patron records. You can view a list of all materials you currently have checked out and the due dates for each item. You can also renew materials online. In order to make use of these features, you will need to click on the "MY ACCOUNT " tab located at the top of the screen. NOTE: if you have fines of $ 10 or more, or if card expired, the [MY ACCOUNT] feature will not work. Check with the Circulation Department to resolve these issues. |
